I am wanting to get a home theater system with a projector and i have picked out a screen that will fit my room and is the right price but i don't know what kind of projector i need or how far away its going to have to be from the screen. The screen i was looking at is a Elite Screens 125" Diagonal, View 61" x 108.5" Spectrum Multipurpose Electric/Motorized Screen and i took the measurements and it will fit. I need someone to help me out by telling me what projector i will need that will work good for this screen and how far back it will need to be so i know if i will need to pick out a small screen because i can't get the projector far enough back. Also i will be mounting the projector from the ceiling above my bed if that makes any difference.
i am looking for a digital projector that i can plug stuff like my laptop and my play station 3 into
I'm looking to spend between 00 and 00 on the projector and the max throw distance is 150" because I'm going to try to mount the projector from the ceiling with a mounting bracket.

I'm looking to purchase and install a ceiling mounted projector, but have no idea how to run my laptop through it when it's 12 feet over my head. I would install it against the back wall of my room but would prefer to have the laptop with me near the front of the room (about 30feet away). Any Ideas?

I need to buy a signal amplifier for a ceiling mounted projector. I need some ideas on the best places to buy one and the best brand to buy. I don't need anything fancy. Dual input and or output would be nice. Thanks in advance for any assistance!

The cable runs from the ceiling projector through the ceiling, and into a wall outlet that basically has a gender bender where another cable is attached to give access to a laptop. I contacted BenQ, the manufacturer, and a techie friend of mine who both said I needed a signal amplifier to fix a ghosting issue I am having with the projector.

Hi,
I would like to project presentations from my laptop using S-Video Cable.
The Projector will be mounted onto the ceiling.
The problem is that the projector is approx. 50ft away from the motorized screen and the picture is way bigger than the screen.
Could somebody please direct me to a solution to somehow shrink the picture or a device that will make it possible to shrink the picture so that it fits onto the screen.
BTW, the projector's throw distance is also 50ft.
Thanks,

I am interested in buying an Optoma HD720X projector but i have a few questions
1. Is it Widescreen?
2. What sort of connections does it have e.g. HDMI, Component AV?
3. Does it have HDMI?
4. Can it display 1080i/p
5. How bright is it?
6. how would i connect it to my PS3 and Laptop (The laptop has DVI and S-video)
7. Can i mount it on my ceiling
8. Does it have a headphone (3.5mm) jack. If it doesnt how would I connect it to my speakers
Any answers to any of these questions would be greatly appreciated
by the way since it doesnt have a 3.5mm jack does anybody know an optical to 3.5mm adaptor so i can connect the speakers directly to my PS3
if there is an adaptor so i could connect the speakers directly to the projector and by the way the HD720X does exist but it is a downgraded version of the HD70

Help. I have a projector cieling mounted in my room, and need to connect it to the main speakers. However, I also need these for the laptop. How do I connect both up to 1 set of speakers, as the cables do not have the reach to transfer between the two?
it is one 2.1 speaker set and i need some sort of jack which i can plug the speakers into but has two inputs for the speakers. i hope that makes sense
